I’m so happy that they were an option at Healthy Life Yoga. I look forward to the class every week (I actually wish I could take them twice a week). It is a great way to stretch, relax, and feel active, even when you’re pregnant.

Hi, Melissa! As long as your doctor has not advised against it for any reason, it is fine to come in for classes during this time. Prenatal yoga, as opposed to traditional yoga classes, are specifically for the needs of the pregnant body, so fitness level or yoga experience is not required. And yoga itself is designed so that you go to what is comfortable for your body each time, with options for going further or pulling back a bit. Classes meet on Tuesday nights and you can pre-register online.

I haven’t exercised at al through my pregnancy and I am currently 30 weeks and feeling the effects of lack of exercise on my body. Is this something I can still do and start so late in my pregnancy?
